Get a Library Card

Getting a Library Card

If you have never had a card at the Mason Public Library, getting one is easy. The staff will need to see a photo ID and an official document which displays your current address. This could be your driver’s license, a utility bill, a car registration, etc.

If a child does not have an ID, his/her parents or guardians may provide theirs.   The parent(s) of children under 14 must be present to sign a child’s application.

Forgot your Library Card

If you forget your library card when visiting the library, you may use a picture ID to check out books.  You may only use a picture ID one time before you must purchase a replacement card.

Register for a Card Online

You can register for a card online.  If you would like to check out physical materials from the library, you will need to come in and complete your registration to receive your physical card.

If you would like access to our digital services only, you can do so by registering for a digital card online and using the digital card.  You will have to renew your digital card with the library every year.  Get a Library card!     (must be 18 years old and resident of Ohio to register)
